Linda (Lindy) Elbert has been a resident of the San Fernando Valley her entire life. She graduated from Los Angeles Valley College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 2002. After graduation, Lindy began working as a Registered Nurse at UCLA Medical Center in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, where she cared for both adults and children. She continued her education at California State University, Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing and certification as a Public Health Nurse.
Lindy continued to work as a Registered Nurse at UCLA in the Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, adult ICUs, and outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit while continuing her education. In 2006, Lindy completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program and obtained a Master's Degree of Science in Nursing at UCLA. She graduated at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. Lindy is a member of the National Nursing Honors Society, Sigma Theta Tau, and is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In May of 2007 Lindy began working at a private dermatology practice in Sherman Oaks, providing general and cosmetic dermatology care/services. Lindy has continued to broaden her dermatology knowledge and cosmetic skills through continuing education courses and clinical experience. In 2013, Lindy passed a comprehensive exam to become a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP). Coming from a big family, most of whom have had various skin cancers, Lindy prides herself on treating her patients “like family”.
In her spare time Lindy enjoys exercising, snowboarding, and water-skiing, but mostly loves spending time with her husband and two sons.
